Tucson International Mariachi Conference 25th Anniversary
Evening of the Art and Mariachi

May 2006/Tucson, AZ/On June 9, 2006 the Tucson International Mariachi Conference will continue its monthly series of programs leading to its 25th Anniversary in 2007. The Tarde de Arte y Mariachi, or Evening of the Art and Mariachi, is the second program in the series. It is a reception and art exhibit celebrating 25 years of the original artworks of the Tucson International Mariachi Conference.

As a special treat, local artist Diana Maderas will unveil her artwork for the 25th anniversary poster. Participants will be the first to see this original  commemorative painting.

At only $25 per person, food, drinks, and live Mariachi music will be provided. Participants will learn to make their own Papel Picado, and will enjoy the Tucson Museum of Art and the exhibit “Vistas of the Frontera”.

Each year,  proceeds from the Tucson International Mariachi Conference benefit the  families and children of La Frontera, Inc., Southern Arizona’s largest behavioral health organization. La Frontera helps strengthen families and serves the children that no one else is able to help.
